SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Betty Jean Bahmer, left, and Juanita Barber recently attended the International Conference of Delta Kappa Gamma Society. They are leaders of the local chapter, Beta Chi. Members can learn more about the conference at the next meeting, Sept. 1 at the Victorian Room, 327 Niles-Vienna Road, Niles. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. with dinner for $17, due at the door. Debbie Zador will talk about “Tea for Two,” beginning a new year with me and you. Hostesses are Sharyn Sibera and Marilyn Besoiu. Members who cannot attend should call Eileen at 330-856-2218 by 9 p.m. Aug. 28.

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Members of Friends of Leetonia Community Public Library preparing for the next book sale, are Hooker Smith, left, and Suzanne Tobuck. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 28 in the annex building, 181 Walnut St. A festival will take place in Wick Park, Leetonia, the same day. All are welcome. The back-to-school carnival scheduled for Saturday has been canceled.
