SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR | Trumbull County United States Bowling Congress Youth Bowling Association hosted its annual scholarship banquet on July 20 at Wayside Restaurant in Warren, where four local youth bowlers were honored. Each of the bowlers received $2,00 scholarships from sponsors under the Ohio State Youth Bowling Association, which was represented at the dinner by President Maxine Collier. The scholarship recipients are Kelly Tennant, left, Mark McCloskey II and Nathan Kennedy. Andrew Letscher is not pictured. Tennant's scholarship was sponsored by the Al Hrobak Memorial Fund and the Trumbull County Youth Association. She graduated from LaBrae High School and will study mental health counseling at Kent State University. McCloskey's scholarship was sponsored by the Westside Mapleleaf's Athletic Club. he graduated from Maplewood High School and is majoring in electrical engineering at Youngstown State University. Kennedy's scholarship also was sponsored by the Club. He graduated from Austintown Fitch and will attend Eastern Gateway Community College to study accounting. Letcher's scholarship was sponsored by the Hrobak Memorial Fund and the TCYA. He graduated from Canfield High School and will be studying business administration at the University of Pikeville in Kentucky.
