SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR | New officers for the Canfield chapter of the Philanthropic Educational Organization were elected and installed at a luncheon on March 16 at A La Cart Catering. Officers include, front from left, Delores Snyder, guard; Marjorie Patterson, president; and Susan Stratton, vice president. In back are Rebecca Murray, corresponding secretary; Pam Appel, treasurer; and Ruth Jaster, guard. Kathryn Adams was also elected as chaplain and Darlene Miller as recording secretary. The PEO Sisterhood’s goal is to bring women more opportunities for higher education. There are approximately 6,000 local chapters throughout the U.S. and Canada, and nearly 250,000 active members.

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR | Junior high students at St. Patrick School of Hubbard recently presented a production of the Passion Play, which explored the trial, suffering and death of Jesus Christ. The Lenten activity was staged in the church for families, friends, parishioners and classmates of the students.
