SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR | The Austintown Historical Society’s 27th annual Spring Tea is planned for April 24 at the Strock Stone House, 7171 Mahoning Ave., Austintown. There will be seatings at noon, 2 and 4 p.m. The menu will include coffee and tea, finger sandwiches, pastries and scones. The meal will be served on lace tablecloths with high tea tableware, bone china cups, saucers and dessert plates. Tours of the house will be provided after each seating. Event co-chairmen are Marge Goldner and Rae Jeanne Mollica, and general chairman is Joyce Pogany. Goldner, left, and Pogany recently displayed a gift basket that will be featured in a basket raffle at the event. Raffle tickets are one for $1, 5 for $3 and 15 for $5. The public is welcome, but reservations are required by April 15. Cost for the tea is $15 for adults and $7 for children under 12. All proceeds will benefit the society.
