SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Sophia Buggs, an urban homesteader and owner of The Lady Buggs Farm on the south side of Youngstown, will be the speaker at 9 a.m. Tuesday for the SCORE meeting in the Williamson building, Room 3301 at Youngstown State University. Buggs will discuss how urban farms can transform the health of a community and its citizens. She partners with the Youngstown Kitchen Incubator, one of three in the state, to provide cooking classes. Davene Smith, left, a SCORE client and Incubator member, joined incubator manager Tom Phibbs and Buggs in preparation for her speech. SCORE, a volunteer branch of the Small Business Administration, provides members with free mentorship, workshops and presentations to area entrepreneurs.
