SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Marguerite Hassay of Diabetes Partnership of Mahoning Valley recently presented a video to Canfield Hilltop Elementary students, which explains that children can still live out their goals and dreams even with the disease. Third-grade student Ava Littler demonstrated her glucometer, which determines the approximate concentration of glucose in the blood, to her classmates and answered questions. Standing with her is her teacher, Alexis Novotny, who welcomed the educational event. The DPMV will have a booth in the Medical Building at the Canfield Fair.
