SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR The Autism Society of Ohio has expanded its summer day camp program, Camp F.R.I.E.N.D.: Finding Rewards In Every New Day. The camps will take place Aug. 3 through 7 and 10 through 14 at the Central YMCA, 17 N. Champion St. in downtown Youngstown. Each of the five age-based groups will be led by a certified teacher, assisted by an experienced paraprofessional aide and a high school peer. Each group will feature related social skills topics: ages 3 to 5, friendship skills; 7 to 10, teamwork; 10 to 12, game-o-rama; 13 to 16, friendly competition; and 17 to 22, community integration.
