SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Calla Community Church, 6482 W. Calla Road, Canfield, will host its annual Lawn Festival at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, rain or shine. Sandwiches, side dishes, beverages, pies and cakes will be sold. A Country Store will feature homemade baked goods, woven rag rugs and other items. A quilt, which was made by several women of the church, will be raffled. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Proceeds from the raffle will be used to help with local mission work. Members of the church helping with the festival are, in front from left, Kim Coleman, Olivia Wince, Emmalee Wince and Christine Wince; in the second row, Paula Yeoman, Lydia Schlegel, Diana Houston, Ardith Strabala, Shirley Baker and Janet Schlegel; and in back, holding the quilt, Wayne Anderson and Edward Schlegel.

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR The Rev. Timothy O’Neill, “Father Tim” to students at St. Patrick School in Hubbard, said his last Mass on June 28. He blessed the students with learning, laughter, understanding and faith, participated in many special activities at the school and always had a story to tell.
