SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR The Ursuline Sisters’ HIV/AIDS Ministry will host a Nun Run 5K Race and 1 Mile Walk on Oct. 3 at the Ursuline Center, 4280 Shields Road, Canfield. From left, at the entrance to the center, are Sister Kathleen Minchin, ministry co-executive director; Dan Wakefield, special projects coordinator; and Brigid Kennedy, co-executive director. Registration is $20 if received by Oct. 2, or $25 the day of the event. Registration will open at the center’s auditorium at 7:30 a.m. At 8:45 a Kids Fun Run will begin, followed by the 1 Mile Walk at 9 and the 5K Race at 9:30. Awards will go to the top three overall male and female finishers. Proceeds will benefit the ministry, in Youngstown.
