ROBERT K. YOSAY | THE VINDICATOR The second Tippecanoe Golf Classic will take place Sept. 14 at Tippecanoe Country Club, 5870 Tippecanoe Road, Canfield, to benefit Hospice of the Valley. A donation of $125 per person for the scramble includes 18 holes of golf, lunch, dinner and prizes. Registration, driving range and lunch begin at 11 a.m. The shotgun start will be at noon. Cocktails will be at 5 p.m. followed by a buffet dinner. The dinner and festivities only will cost $40 per person. Sponsorships, hole sponsors and auction items are welcome. Honorary chairman for the event is Dr. Edward Novosel. Bob Ferraro, a member and past president of Tippecanoe Country Club, is the event chairman, and committee members are Liz McGarry, Leslie Coalmer, Nancy Sullivan, Louann Sutton-Kutlick, Paula Durkin and Andy Zabel. For a hole-in-one on No. 9 Pete Brittain of Columbiana Buick-Cadillac-Chevrolet will donate a Cadillac ATS, and for a hole-in-one on No. 5 Judy Rafoth, president, and Monica Rafoth, vice president of Adamas Jewelry and Gifts, will donate a $10,000 shopping spree at Adamas. Hospice of the Valley offers compassionate end-of-life care to those with terminal illnesses and offers support to their families.
