Special to The Vindicator — Members of Youngstown Lions Club, from left, Nancy Cuffle, Patti Atwood and Patti Nichols, shop for scarves, hats, gloves, candy and other gifts for visually impaired and special needs children who will attend the club’s 93rd annual Christmas party Dec. 2 at the Saxon Club in Youngstown. About 120 children from Mahoning Valley schools and adults from Goodwill Industries will celebrate with club members and Santa and Mrs. Claus. Lions will wrap the gifts when they meet at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 1 at the Saxon Club. Funding for the holiday project is from sponsors of Youngstown Lions’ annual Turtle Derby, its only fundraiser.
