SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Canfield Community Care Net will host a Designer Purse Bash and Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. May 31 at Zion Lutheran Church, 3300 Canfield Road, Cornersburg. Co-chairwomen for the event are Rebecca Holcomb, left, and Jennifer Holliday-Buchanan. Tickets are $25 for lunch and entry into the drawings for a handbag or tote. Some featured designers are Coach, Michael Kors and Kate Spade, which are donated by Macy’s, Magnolia’s on the Green, Dillard’s, Suzanne’s and Francesca’s, to name a few. Canfield Care Net has assisted Canfield families with major expenses from serious illnesses since 2001, and contributions have totaled more than $400,000.
