SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR: Boardman Lions Club hosted its annual Night at the Races fundraiser March 1 at the Operating Engineers Hall on McClurg Road in Boardman. The event was organized by Chuck Rudge and Joyce Mistovich and featured a large basket raffle, lottery tree and gift card tree and a night of dining and dancing. Funds earned will help multiple organizations. Club members who participated in the event, in front from left, are Matt Gambrel, Ken Matteson, Henry Koch, Betsy Koch, Laura Sobotka, Nancy Golubic, Mandy Ward, Andrea Snyder, Jane Cornelius, Judy Jones, Jaclyn Rausch, future member Jackson Rausch, Mary Beth Shobel and Patti Shears. In back are Dave Green, Justin Coffin, Rudge, Gary Sobotka, Jana Coffin, Joni Blase, Kathy Collins, Marge Matteson, Carol Richards, John Landers, President Bill Rausch, Lee Ward, Suzan Masters, Bob Pavalko and Terri Shears. Other participants were Brad Calhoun, Megan Gambrel and Ron Mistovich. The club’s next event will be the White Cane Collection from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Chalet Premiere on Market Street in Beaver Township. Funds from this event will benefit the Pilot Dog program.
