SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR During the New Castle Fireworks Festival on Saturday a new exhibit, “When Forges Roared,” will have its grand opening at Lawrence County Historical Society, 408 N. Jefferson St. Visitors will learn about the early stone iron furnaces, 19th century iron and steel mills and their modern counterparts. Also visit the Wall of Workers, which focuses on men and women mill workers. Admission is free.
