Sue Drotleff of Salem submitted this photo from her daughter's wedding. Melanie Drotleff and Michael Hughes were married July 16, 2011, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Salem. Immediately after the ceremony, the couple released monarch butterflies signifying their new life together. Most of the butterflies took off immediately, but two had to be "coaxed out" of the container by Melanie and Mike. The two butterflies perched on their fingers and stayed long enough for pictures followed by a shared kiss by the newlyweds; then the butterflies flew away. It was beautiful!
