SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR: Fifth-grade student Konnor Patris takes diabetes awareness to the classroom. Patris helped organize a dress down at St. Christine School on Nov. 14. The event raised $328. Half will go to the Diabetes Partnership of Mahoning Valley and the other half to Juvenile Diabetes Research. Patris and school nurse Suzie Cavalier demonstrated how his insulin pod delivers regular injections and explained the process of testing his blood sugar.
