Judge Smith received the Ohio State Bar Association’s Judicial Administration and Legal Reform Committee’s Innovative Court Practices Award for development of a CPO Card for victims of domestic violence. Her court was the first in Ohio to develop the wallet-size card, which contains essential information about a protection order and provides police with vital information.
