SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Jim Whetstone, left, owner of Toyota of Warren, recently presented a check for $75,488.64 to Deryck Toles, executive director of Inspiring Minds. The proceeds were earned at the second annual Celebrity Golf Outing in June at Avalon Lakes in Warren. Toles founded Inspiring Minds seven years ago to inspire and empower young people to overcome obstacles in their lives. More than 200 have enrolled in its summer enrichment program.
