Canfield Lions Club sponsored charter night for the newly formed West Mahoning County Lions Club on Oct. 5 at Deerfield Town Hall. More than 100 Lions from District 13-D attended to celebrate the new club. Paul Metrovich, past council chair, inducted the charter members; Tom Zickefoose, district governor, installed the charter officers and presented the charter to Jerry Roland, charter president, past council chair and past district governor. Zickefoose also presented a club sponsorship patch to Dan Grossman, president of Canfield Lions. Master of ceremonies was Bob Whited, past district governor and extension chair for Region 1. Ken Carano was the speaker. The fall meeting of Catholic Collegiate Association recently took place at the Holiday Inn in Boardman. Ellen Sandel and Jeanne Pepperney were welcomed as new members. Speakers were The Rev.
