The Greatest Golfer of the Valley summer tournament Greatest Scramble proceeds of $13,000 were donated Sept. 6 to the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County. Todd Franko, left, editor of The Vindicator, presented the check to, from left, Caryn Covelli, Dr. Rufus Sparks and Cindy D’Amico, board members of the Animal Welfare League, at the 15th annual golf outing at Squaw Creek Country Club. The money will be used to renovate the former Thunderplex indoor baseball complex in Vienna into a 47,000 square-foot animal shelter.
