SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR: A Wings ’n’ Wheels event over the summer drew 3,000 people and displayed 160 antique and exotic cars and 62 antique and small planes. All proceeds from the event were donated to help Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County’s campaign for a new shelter and education center. From left to right, Bill Griffin and Jim Whetstone present a check for $10,250 to AWL leaders. Receiving the check are Dr. John Owen, Dr. Rufus Sparks and Caryn Covelli, all members of the AWL Board.
