Salem Storybook Museum will feature a gala home tour from 5 to 9 p.m. Nov. 22 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 23, starting at the plaza at Kent City Center, North Lincoln Ave., Salem. Tickets bought in advance cost $15, and the day of the tour, $20. The event, Come Home for the Holidays, will feature five decorated homes in a candlelight tour. Seated are Jennifer Brown, left, and Elizabeth Thatcher, museum director. Standing are Sondra O’Donnell, Robert Viencek, museum board member, and Karen Carter. To make reservations call 330-332-1632 or 330-332-4723. Homes will be decorated for either Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Joey Lettieri, 5, and Isabella Lettieri, 9, of Cape Hatteras, in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, were visiting Grandma Joanne Shutrump in Boardman this week when they got a blast of Northeast Ohio winter weather. Of course, the kids’ very first snowman had to be a work of art, right down to the hat and scarf that give him a distinctly cool fashion air. In the spirit of the best of both worlds, the flaky character they dubbed Chester has a face made with seashells from the seashore. The children’s parents are Maryjill (Shutrump) and John Lettieri.
