Trumbull Senior Production, under the direction of Jason Burgermyer, performed four Christmas shows for Girard Senior Citizens, Dollar Bank Retirees, St. Edward Church and the Holiday Inn Christmas party. The annual Christmas bazaar sponsored by Girard Junior Women raises funds to benefit the community. Among members who worked on this year’s fundraiser are, from left, Lynn Nastase, Laura Sobnosky, Kathy Fricker, Kathy Rossell, Martha Altier and Roberta Lawrentz, and seated, Bree Quesenberry. The women’s group recently made donations to Emmanuel Community Care Center, Girard High School scholarships and robotics and community beautification.

The Austintown Zoning Office is set to demolish this house at 3889 New Road once it approves a bid for the demolition. Nine houses are set to be demolished as part of a program this year, funded by a Moving Ohio Forward grant.
