SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR The Siembida & Boggs Philanthropic Foundation of Columbiana recently donated $400 in Home Depot gift cards to married Army veterans Kim and Phillip Floyd, above. Phillip was an infantry and combat engineer who served from 1969 to 1971 during the Vietnam War. He received the Vietnam Service Medal with two bronze service stars. Kim served with the military police from 1987 to 1989 and was stationed at Fort Myer, Va. The gift cards will help buy materials for a ramp for Phillip, who was injured in a mortar attack in the war. SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Boardman Lions Club is planning a 20-household garage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 7 at 5226 Pinetree Lane to benefit the community. Parking is available in the church parking lot across the street. Lions displaying some of the items for sale, from left, are Kathy Collins, Mary Beth Shobel, Judy Jones and Betsy Koch. Last year’s proceeds were divided among the Linus Project, Boardman Middle School Panda Organization and the Coats for Kids Project.
