SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Mahoning Valley Historical Society featured its Cookie Table and Cocktails event recently at Tyler History Center. The event raised more than $8,500 for new exhibits and educational programs. Winners were, from left: Anita Koch, third place amateur for Swedish almond raspberry cookie; Kimberly Barrett, second place amateur for salted caramel cookie tart; Christine Restle, first place amateur for Russian torte; Cindy Novak, judges amateur for French macaroon; Kim Brothers of Kookies by Kim, judges professional for lemon tart, and second place professional tie for coconut cream tart; Sara Hendel-McCormick of Brew Bakes, third place professional for chocolate peanut butter barley cookie; and Frank Rulli of Rulli Bros., second place professional tie for Italian pecan ball. Missing is Nancy Faulkner of Cookies to Go, who won first place in the professional category.
