MADELYN P. HASTINGS | THE VINDICATOR Carolynn Armstrong, 8, shows off her Smile Train bracelet during Smile Day at EJ Blott Elementary. Smile Train is a non-profit organization that arranges programs worldwide such as Smile Day. Smile Day was held to raise money for cleft palate surgeries of children in the area. One surgery costs $250 and the school raised $369.15 by collecting loose change from students and faculty. Carolynn recently received the surgery.
