MADELYN P. HASTINGS | THE VINDICATOR Mrs. Paula English holds Carolynn Armstrong's, 8, hand during Smile Day at EJ Blott Elementary. Smile Day was held to raise money for cleft palate surgeries of children in the area. One surgery costs $250 and the school raised $369.15 by collecting loose change from students and faculty. Carolynn recently received the surgery.
