Alan Harper, president of the Kiwanis Club of Youngstown, presents Max Lee, winner of The Vindicator Regional Spelling Bee, and Tamsin Day, runner-up, with gift certificates to Barnes & Noble. The students were honored at the club’s weekly luncheon meeting in honor of their spelling achievements. Max is a seventh-grader at Canfield Middle School, and Tamsin is in seventh grade at Willow Creek Leaning Center.
