Penn-Ohio Polka Pals, an organization of 40 professional musicians dedicated to the preservation of their ethnic musical heritage, celebrated Feb. 21 with their 10th annual Puczski Mardi Gras dance at Kuzman’s Lounge in Girard. Polka Pals received $2,000 in cash and gifts. The donations will be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Polka Pals vice president and chairman of the affair Ed Vallus, at left, and Larry Moffett, manager of Kuzman’s, hold a mock check for $2,000.
