Seven cub scouts from Webelo 2, Den 5, The Blue Wolves Den, recently participated in a crossover ceremony at the annual Blue and Gold Banquet for Cub Scout Pack 9022 at Calvary Baptist Church in Boardman. The boys who crossed over into the Boy Scout Troop are, left to right, front row, Juan Gomez, Justin Long, Anson Hankey, Alex Mazon and David Santangelo. In the back row are Michael Gombas and Den Leader Dave Santangelo, Absent is Zach Eckert. Zach, Juan, Anson, Justin, Alex and David received their Arrow of Light Award, the highest award that a Cub Scout can earn, and they also earned the “Super Achiever” award.

As one of its literacy projects, the Struthers Rotary distributes more than 300 new dictionaries to all fourth-grade students in Struthers, Campbell and Lowellville. The project was created to provide students with an essential tool for their homework and schoolwork.
