The 19th Annual Golf Outing for Northeast Ohio Adoption Services, which was June 4 at Trumbull Country Club, successfully raised money for NOAS and the Barbara Lewis Roberts Foundation, which supports the mission of the specialized adoption agency. The Rotary Club of Salem, the Salem Public Library, St. Paul’s School students and the SCH Charitable Foundation have teamed up to provide a more comforting, healing environment for area residents receiving cancer treatment at Salem Community Hospital. The Salem Rotary Cares Project will provide entertainment for patients as they undergo chemotherapy treatments, which last several hours and may have unpleasant side effects. As a result of the project, patients can now watch movies and listen to music or audio books to keep their minds off the treatments. Contributions are welcome. For information call the SCH Charitable Foundation at 330-337-2883.
