Daisy Girl Scout Troop 80777 of Columbiana has nine girls who recently completed their first year of Girl Scouting. Their activities have included the annual cookie sale and a canned food collection, along with various craft projects each month when they meet. They have earned several patches over the year. The next project will have the girls planting flowers at Joshua Dixon Elementary School, where they all attend. The Girl Scouts are participating in early bird enrollment for the session that begins in the fall. Girls going into first grade this fall can call Crystal Boggs at 330-482-9105 to sign up. Here, the girls are showing their earned patches and incentives from the cookie sale. Some of the 33 pounds of canned food they collected, which was donated to the Way Station in Columbiana, also is displayed. In the front row, from left, are Rebekah Clark and Chloe Gill. In the back row are Mia Surenavic, Elizabeth Siembida, Airianna Scullion, Alaina Johnston, Chloe Loveland and Katrina Kaszowski. Absent from the picture is Abbie Passmore.
