The League of Women Voters of Greater Youngstown honored longtime members, from left, seated: Anne Harpman, Jane Beilby, Nancy Brundage, Mary Rita Carney, Virginia Shorten and Rose Marie Wolf, and standing, Marion Gillette, Mary Ann Limmer, Deb Matthews and Fran Wilson. Also honored were Norma Coe Anderson, Betty Beelen, Dr. Barbara Brothers, Marilynn Harrison, Kathleen Johnson, Gloria Rule and Toni Schildcrout. The league is forming a book club with the first meeting planned at 6 p.m. Aug. 22 at the home of Dr. Brothers. The first book will be “It’s Even Worse Than It Looks: How the American Constitutional System Collided with the New Politics of Extremism” by Thomas E. Mann, Brookings Institute, and Norman J.
