The Humane Society of Columbiana County plans to celebrate summer with a Pet Lovers Ice Cream Social from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Bo’s Pet Shoppe, 14883 South Ave., Columbiana. Pets are welcome along with their owners to participate in contests, sales and giveaways. Raffle tickets will be given to those to take shelter supplies such as clay kitty litter, laundry detergent, latex gloves, towels or bedding, garbage bags and gift cards. Posing with Pets Photography will be on hand from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday to photograph you and your pet for a nominal fee. Blackwood and Best Breed Pet Food representatives will answer questions about pet nutrition. Ohio Pet Foods of Lisbon, produces both brands. The Humane Society will have adoptable pets and T-shirts available. All proceeds will benefit the Humane Society of Columbiana County.
