The League of Women Voters of Greater Youngstown’s Education Committee comprises, from left, Kathleen Dragoman, Barbara Brothers, Corliss Green, Marcellene Hawk, Dorothy Kane, Ilona Labusch and Norma Anderson. Committee members Deb Mathews and Kim Poma are not pictured. The group studied issues in education and presented a membership consensus to the League of Women Voters of Ohio. LWVGY’s annual brunch will take place Jan. 14. The members-only event will offer half-price memberships at the door. Those who attend will have a look at the coming legislative session and an opportunity to meet officeholders at state and national levels. The brunch will be served at the Youngstown Club, 201 E. Commerce St., Youngstown. Registration from 10 to 10:30 a.m. will be followed by brunch and legislative updates. The cost is $15, and reservations are to be made with Karen Lazarus at 330-788-8946.
