Youngstown Lions Club’s 92nd Annual Christmas party for students of Youngstown City Schools had the Saxon Club filled to capacity. The children enjoyed singing and dancing to Christmas carols, eating a turkey dinner and opening their gifts from Santa, Mrs. Claus and the Lions Elves. Hubbard Schools Band Sponsors won an aluminum can fund drive sponsored by the Ball Corp. for the third year in a row. Representatives from the local Ball Corp. plant in Hubbard were on hand at a recent boosters meeting to present the members with a check for $2,500 along with a check for an additional $2,500 of matching funds from the local plant. The Hubbard Band Sponsors have received over $10,000 in the last three years from the Ball Corp. All money goes into a fund for new uniforms.
