Daley among 50 at Harvard: 
Kristina L. Daley, above, of Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, was one of only 50 funeral directors nationwide selected to participate in the National Funeral Directors Association’s inaugural Meet the Mentors program Sept. 13 at the Harvard (University) Faculty Club in Cambridge, Mass. The event brought young funeral professionals together to learn from four of the country’s leading funeral directors, including mentor Thomas Lynch, left, and network with like-minded peers, such as Patrick Lynch, NFDA president, right. Daley is a 2001 graduate of Struthers High School and a graduate of Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. She is a licensed funeral director and has been with Higgins-Reardon for eight years. She is a coach for the Struthers Lady Cats basketball team and is president of Struthers School Foundation for Education Excellence.

Patriot Water Treatment in Warren can take fracking wastewater like in the bottle on the left and clean it to look like the middle bottle. The solid material from the middle bottle then goes to landfills and the clean water goes to the City of Warren’s wastewater treatment plant.
