Time for a change: At the Jan. 26 meeting of Youngstown Rotary Club, Ohio state Sen. Joe Schiavoni, D-33rd, presented a synopsis of the ideas and programs that have been proposed to help cut the state’s budget, to reduce Ohio’s joblessness and to stimulate the slow economy. He spoke of the new state Congress and Ohio’s new governor John Kasich and stressed the need for the political parties to work together. He said that redistricting needs to be done because of the loss of two representatives at the federal level. He also spoke of the need for stronger education for the young, and the need for grants to help businesses expand and provide more jobs. Following his talk Sen. Schiavone, at left, is joined by Steve Kristen, Rotary Club president.
