Eugene Magalotti of Brookfield trained as a combat photographer while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1949. Now he likes to take pictures of his friends at the Hubbard Community Pool and uses his training to manipulate the photos into funny poses. This photo shows a group of swimmers with arthritis who go to the pool five days a week year-round to exercise. The woman in the star at the top of the tree is their instructor, Elizabeth Prelac.
