Demolition of the former Circuit City building on the corner of Market Street and U.S. Route 224 in Boardman began this week. Future plans show a 13,225-square-foot building that is zoned for retail use and will have a pharmacy for the CVS location and another building, 4,400 square feet, that is zoned for use as a fast-food restaurant. Cedarwood Development Inc. purchased the property, at 7230 Market St., for $2.2 million in April.
