Gregory Carbon, almost 5, of Boardman, and his mother, Sharon Carbon, were on hand for the presentation of more than $1 million to Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley in Boardman from the Kikel Charitable Trust. Greg had his tonsils and adenoids removed in February at the hospital’s pediatric surgery unit, which was named The Kikel Center for Pediatric Surgery in honor of the gift. Mrs. Carbon said Tuesday her son received great treatment from start to finish.
