Ponderosa Park exhibit: After weeks of preparation, an exhibit of items salvaged when Ponderosa Park closed will be on display at Salem Historical Society, 298 S. Broadway in Salem, from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 1 to 4 Sunday and July 4. One of the collectible items is displayed by Tom Pauley, general manager/promoter at the park for more than 30 years, and Janice Lesher, museum curator. A donation of $2 is suggested for viewing the exhibit. In conjunction with the event, the historical society’s ways and means committee will conduct a book and treasure sale in the Sprowl Garage at the museum. An ‘Evening in Elegance’ event: The McGuffey Centre’s 70th Anniversary Committee will have its “Evening in Elegance” annual dinner and fundraiser July 9 at 1649 Jacobs Road, Youngstown. A reception and auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the dinner and program will follow at 6 p.m. Howard and the Five Point Band will provide music for dancing until 11 p.m. For more information call Gwen Alexander at 330-744-4377.
