Heartwarming gifts: Mended Hearts, Chapter 7, a support group for heart survivors and their families, sells nuts for the holidays each year to raise funds for scholarships for nursing/medical students at Youngstown State University and at St. Elizabeth Health Center/Mercy College. During a recent Humility of Mary Health Partners Development Foundation Awards Luncheon $1,000 scholarships were presented to two Mercy College students. Shown after the presentation are, from left, Joe Clark, chapter president; Patricia Feindt, scholarship chairwoman; and the scholarship recipients, Danielle Clonch and Amanda Niehorster. The chapter also makes contributions to the endowment fund of Camp Mountain Heart, a cardiac camp in Ripley, W.Va., for children who are heart patients.
