Special to The Vindicator WARMING TREND: A $1,000 donation approved by the executive board of Boardman Rotary Club and skillful bargain-shopping by Rotarian Ryan Cuffle resulted in the purchase of 58 brand-new winter coats for children in the MYCAP Head Start program. Cuffle took the donation to Kohl’s, where he opened a credit card account, giving him an additional 10 percent off purchases, used a 30 percent off code provided by a fellow Rotarian, and received an additional $160 Kohl’s cash on the original purchase of the coats. Showing some of the gift coats are, above from left, Kavon Wright, manager of Head Start Family Service; Judy Miller, assistant director of Head Start; Lois Clark, director of Head Start; and Cuffle.
