Special to the Vindicator END OF ERA: Celebrated during the Feb. 19 luncheon meeting of the Kiwanis Club of Youngstown was the discovery of the time capsule buried in 1921 at The Rayen School and the end of the football rivalry that once existed between South High School Warriors and the Rayen Tigers. To emphasize the importance of the events, Chuck Whitman, a Kiwanian and president of South High School Alumni Association, at left, presented a framed copy of The Vindicator article on the time capsule to Charles Rudibaugh, a Kiwanian and president of the Rayen trustees. Those present agreed to continue to support Youngstown City Schools with scholarships and financial aid.
