Mickey Koziorynsky, a Youngstown Street Department superviser, secures the two halves of the city’s New Year’s Eve ball. Koziorynsky is part of a crew of five that have lowered the city’s New Year’s Eve ball since 2000. A fireworks show will be provided at 9 p.m. and just after midnight at the Covelli Center.
