Habitat volunteers are honored: Four volunteers were recognized by Habitat for Humanity of Mahoning County for their work at Habitat’s ReStore and service to the organization. From left to right are Joe McCabe, Bette Pacella, Aggie Butler and Joseph Hallas, who received the Golden Nail awards at a dinner in late November. Hallas has volunteered at ReStore for three years, and Butler, McCabe and Pacella donated their time over two years. Presenting the awards was ReStore manager Linda Hartwig, not pictured, who explained the importance of volunteers in the success of the organization. Habitat has built 29 homes, and its goal for 2011 is to build four more. The profits of ReStore pay for the administration of the Habitat projects.
