The Vindicator: Pupils in Mrs. Kryonvich’s third-grade class at St. Patrick School in Hubbard learned the importance of wearing seat belts recently. Encouraging the youngsters to “click it to be cool” as they stressed the importance of wearing seatbelts, Hubbard Township Police Chief Todd Coonce, right, and township Officer Courtney Perkins demonstrated what happens when there is an accident and passengers are not wearing seat belts. They also explained how air bags operate. The children watched a video featuring Bill Nye the Science Guy, and learned that the safest place to sit in a car is the back seat.
