Mary Lou Finesilver reads the various languages on the Peace Pole outside Boardman Center Middle School, Market Street. The memorial pole was dedicated in a Wednesday morning service to Holocaust survivor Bill Vegh, who died in June. Vegh was a frequent speaker to Boardman students about his experience. The ceremony featured a presentation by Eva Schloss, also a Holocaust survivor. After the Holocaust, Schloss’s mother married Otto Frank, the father of Anne Frank.
