Special to The Vindicator WORD POWER: Rotary International designated Oct. 10 Make a Difference Day, and the Austintown Club did its part. With the Green Team of Mahoning County, Rotary and Fitch Interact members cleaned up Kirk Road. In another project, club members distributed dictionaries to all third-grade classes at Lloyd, Lynn Kirk, Watson, Woodside, St. Joseph/Immaculate Heart, St. Christine and Jackson Milton elementary schools. More than 500 students received dictionaries to keep. Above, students in Mrs. Carchedi’s and Mrs. Billock’s class at Woodside Elementary happily show off their new dictionaries.
